4 Channel Analog Input Card

Architect and Engineer Specifications: SymNet 4 Channel Analog Input Card.

The device shall provide four analog mic/line inputs to an EDGE or RADIUS AEC frame that are adjustable from line to mic level with coarse gain, fine trim and phantom power. Up to four of these devices may be installed in a single EDGE frame for up to sixteen channels of local input and up to one of these devices may be installed in a single RADIUS AEC frame for up to four channels of local input. Levels, phantom powers, signal inversions and mutes shall be controllable via software. Audio inputs shall be accessed via rear panel 3.81 mm terminal block connectors.

Audio conversion shall be 24-bit, 48 kHz. The dynamic range shall not be lower than 115 dB, A-weighted with a maximum input level of +23 dBu.

This device shall provide two VoIP lines to an Edge, RADIUS AEC or RADIUS 12×8 EX frame with standard SIP telephony functions. Up to four of these devices may be installed in a single Edge frame for up to eight VoIP lines and up to one of these devices may be installed in a single RADIUS AEC or RADIUS 12×8 EX for up to two VoIP lines. VoIP network connection shall be accessible via a rear panel RJ45 Ethernet connector with configuration available both via the VoIP LAN interface and the AV LAN interface.

USB Audio Card

  • Adds up to 16 channels of USB audio I/O to a Radius DSP, or up to 64 channels to an Edge DSP, bridging computer-based soft codecs or recording and playback software to the expansive Dante™ network audio ecosystem.
  • Multiple distinct modes of operation including two speakerphone modes for conferencing, along with a 2×2 and 8×8 line I/O mode for multitrack recording and playback.
  • Speakerphone and 2×2 line modes are class 1 USB (driverless) for quick and problem free plug-and-play connectivity and provide the ability to utilize a soft codec’s AEC or disable it in favor of Symetrix’ award-winning AEC.

The device shall provide a USB audio interface to EDGE, RADIUS AEC or RADIUS 12×8 EX frames with up to 16 to 64 channels in four configurable modes of operation: Speakerphone (disable Computer AEC) 1×1, Speakerphone (allow Computer AEC) 1×1, Line 2×2 (all Class 1), or Line 8×8 (Class 2). Up to four of these devices may be installed in a single EDGE frame for up to 64 channels and up to one of these devices may be installed in a single RADIUS AEC or RADIUS 12×8 EX for up to 16 channels. USB connection shall be accessible via a rear panel Type B high-retention connector. Interface configuration is via the provided designer software application that operates on a Windows computer, with network interface installed, running Windows® 7 or higher operating system.
